West Bromwich Albion and Watford have been charged by the FA after Saturday's match was marred by a late bust-up involving several members of both sides.
The melee occurred towards the end of West Brom's 3-1 defeat of the Hornets at the Hawthorns.
Watford's Roberto Pereyra was sent off when he reacted angrily to a challenge from West Brom winger James McClean, an incident which sparked an altercation between several members of both sides.
An FA statement read: "Both West Bromwich Albion and Watford have been charged for failing to ensure their players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion and/or refrained from provocative behaviour.
"It follows an incident in the 84th minute of the game on Saturday December 3 2016.
"Both clubs have until 6pm December 8 to respond to the charge."

Pereyra appeared to kick out at McClean, after the West Brom midfielder kicked the ball at him while he was on the ground.
Watford boss Walter Mazzarri said via a translator after the game: "From what I've seen, Pereyra was fouled, he was on the floor, and his rival keeps fouling him while he was on the floor.
"He stood up, he gave a small push, and that's when I went to separate them. He was unfairly sent off and of course the game changed from then."
Baggies boss Tony Pulis saw the incident differently and said: "I think Mike Jones had the best view and he's an experienced Premier League referee."
Watford captain Troy Deeney said: "Obviously McClean, I spoke to him afterwards, he's got that style of tackling which got him in trouble last year.
"If you are going to do that, last year he got sent off a few times, this year it's been made to be acceptable."
Earlier on Monday, Manchester City and Chelsea were charged __with failing to control their players after the bad-tempered conclusion to their match on Saturday.
