The Scottish stopper punched Kevin Mirallas' corner the wrong direction under pressure from his own team-mate Dieumerci Mbokani, handing Everton an equaliser on the stroke of half-time at the KCOM Stadium.

He made up for it in the second half, producing a fine save from Romelu Lukaku's effort, before Hull went ahead through Robert Snodgrass' superb free-kick.

Ross Barkley headed home late on to save Everton a point, meaning they stay seventh, while Hull move off the bottom of the table.
