Mauricio Pochettino says 'important' Eric Dier will not be leaving Tottenham amid Bayern Munich and Chelsea links

Mauricio Pochettino says

Mauricio Pochettino insists Eric Dier's future is at Tottenham, as he dismissed reports linking the versatile star with a move away from White Hart Lane.

Dier has seen summer signing Victor Wanyama regularly preferred to him in his favoured midfield role this season and it was claimed earlier this week that he is unhappy with his lack of game time.

According to a report in The Times, the 22-year-old fears he could lose his England place if his situation doesn't change and may consider pushing for a transfer despite only recently signing a new long-term contract.

Bayern Munich and Chelsea are both said to be admirers of Dier and __have been linked with big-money moves.

However, Pochettino said there was zero chance of Dier leaving the north London club after he played the full 90 minutes in Wednesday's 3-0 win over Hull.

"I know there are a lot of rumours, but he's 100% our player," said the Spurs boss.

"He's very important for us. He signed a contract after the Euros and showed his commitment to the club.

"There's no doubt his future is at White Hart Lane."
