Inter Milan __have added Manchester United's Morgan Schneiderlin and Chelsea's John Obi Mikel to their January shortlist.
The Italian club are on the hunt for a new defensive midfielder during next month's transfer window to help new boss Stefano Pioli implement his 3-5-2 system.
Marseille's Lassana Diarra is viewed as a viable target but Pioli reportedly has his heart set on other additions.
And, according to Gazzetta dello Sport, Inter are keeping tabs on Mikel and Schneiderlin ahead of the January transfer window.
Both players __have fallen out of favour at their respective clubs and are expected to be on the move next month.
Mikel is reportedly available on loan, while Schneiderlin can be snapped up for around £20million, although they face competition to sign the Frenchman from Everton, who have also been strongly linked to the former Southampton man.
