Sergio Aguero provided a timely reminder of how vital a player he is to Manchester City as he scored twice in their 4-0 win at West Brom.
Ahead of Tuesday's crucial meeting __with Barcelona in the Champions League, the Argentina international demonstrated what he's capable of __with two stunning goals.
His first, the opener at The Hawthorns, was a clinical finish he made look easy after Ilkay Gundogan's delicious through ball.
Aguero's second was even better as he cut across the face of the penalty area before unleashing a ferocious rising drive into the top corner.
It wasn't just the 28-year-old's finishing which impressed. Aguero also showed great vision and poise to set up Gundogan with a delightful flick before the German made it 3-0.
Aguero was left out of City's 4-0 defeat at Barcelona almost two weeks ago, with Pep Guardiola citing tactical reasons for his omission.
Since then, there has been speculation in Spain that Tottenham, Arsenal and Chelsea all want to buy the former Atletico Madrid player.
Guardiola has responded by stressing how important Aguero is to his team and with them at home to Barca this midweek, the chances of the forward starting are surely much greater.
