Tottenham were knocked out of the EFL Cup on Tuesday night, falling to defeat to Liverpool at Anfield.

Daniel Sturridge scored twice for the hosts as they took a two-goal lead, before Vincent Janssen pulled one back for the visitors with his second goal - a penalty - in English football.

However, Spurs failed to hit that all-important equalising goal before the final whistle went, dropping out of the competition with a 2-1 defeat.

Mauricio Pochettino, who is juggling league, domestic cup and European competitions, decided to name a much-changed side for the clash on Merseyside, Eric Dier the only player starting who would command a starting spot in Tottenham's strongest XI.

The likes of Cameron Carter-Vickers, Josh Onomah and Harry Winks were all given a chance to impress the manager, but how did this much-changed team perform?
