Klopp: Lallana has been at a ‘constant high level’

Jurgen Klopp has praised Adam Lallana for maintaining high standards throughout the his time in charge and thinks Southampton still miss him.

Lallana was only fit enough for the bench in the 0-0 draw against Manchester United on Monday after injuring his groin midway through the first half against Swansea on October 1.

The England international changed the game in Liverpool’s favour when he came off the bench at Anfield on Monday and Klopp has revealed he should be raring to go against West Brom this weekend.

“I like him, we can speak about him. It was a very intensive game so coming in __with fresh legs is not a bad thing,” Klopp told reporters on Thursday.

“His development is not that big, since I came he’s been on a constant high level. He can take the benefit of the team’s improvement.

“In a special game against United, this quality, it has to make the difference. He’s full of energy. It’s all good __with Adam, he can train properly, everything is good.

“Lallana was already captain of Southampton? That says a lot. He’s grown in confidence, he’s a real Liverpool player.

“A lot of players left Southampton in the last few years, but it seems with Adam they still really miss him!”
