Manchester United v Arsenal team news: Wayne Rooney DROPPED to the bench, Aaron Ramsey starts

Jose Mourinho has dropped Manchester United captain Wayne Rooney to the bench for the visit of rivals Arsenal.

The Old Trafford clash is the early kick-off in the Premier League and it promises to be an exciting match.

Arsene Wenger - whose Gunners __have not won at Man United in the league since 2006 - renews his rivalry with Jose Mourinho as both sides look to keep within distance of their title rivals.

Star forward Zlatan Ibrahimovic is suspended, so Anthony Martial starts in his place, while England international Marcus Rashford is also in the XI.

Rooney has been criticised for his actions over international duty with England in recent weeks and he pulled out of the squad for the Spain friendly due to a knee injury and he starts the game as a substitute.

Arsenal, meanwhile, are without Hector Bellerin and Carl Jenkinson starts in his place. The biggest relief for Gunners fans is the availability of Alexis Sanchez, after reports suggested he had an injury while on international duty with Chile.
