Coutinho targeting PL and CL with Liverpool – coach

Philippe Coutinho wants to win the Premier League and Champions League __with Liverpool, and is not looking to leave the club.

Coutinho has emerged as one of the hottest commodities on the continent after a series of wonderful performances for the Reds this season.

The Brazilian already has five goals and five assists to his name in 11 games so far, and is reportedly Barcelona’s main transfer target in upcoming windows.

However, according to Rodney Goncalves, the forward’s former youth coach at Vasco da Gama and a current friend of the 24-year-old, Coutinho is not looking to leave.

“His ambition is to be in the list of the top 10 players [in the world],” Goncalves told the Daily Telegraph.

“Coutinho can be compared to Neymar, but Coutinho is Coutinho. He can become a very popular in Brazil and around the world like Neymar, he just needs to get a sequence of games in the Brazilian squad.

“There is pressure on him but it is not a problem. He plays at a big club and plays in the most important league in the world.

“Whenever we speak he always says that is very happy at Liverpool and his biggest challenge is to win the Premier League and Champions League __with Liverpool.

“He knows that if he continues to give great performances for Liverpool, he will always be selected for Brazil.”
