Yaya Toure was a surprise name on Manchester City's starting line-up at Crystal Palace this afternoon, and marked his return with a match-winning brace.
Pep Guardiola stated the Ivorian would not play for the Citizens again, unless his agent apologised for comments criticising the Spanish coach's alleged mistreatment of his client.
It seems the trio __have now resolved their feud, and Toure proved the difference at Selhurst Park, as the Citizens sealed three points thanks to his goalscoring exploits.
Guardiola revealed the midfielder has been ready to play for six weeks, and has been training well after returning for pre-season overweight.
"One month and a half he's been ready to play.
"He arrived pre-season not good in his weight, but the last month and a half he's been training well in every session with us.
"The real reason he didn't play – you know that."
The former Barcelona manager also stated that at no point during his spell away from the pitch has Toure been banished from the senior squad.
"He's always been integrated in the team; he was not training with the second-team, never. He was part of the group, always part of the group."
