It’s been almost two months since they last won in the Premier League, but Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger claims there is nothing wrong __with the players’ mentality.
The Gunners swept aside West Ham 3-0 at the Emirates and Wenger was regaled __with songs from some sections of the crowd.
“I’m happy people are happy. I want people who love the club to be happy. I can look after myself,” said Wenger, who will surely now announce that he has signed a new contract.
“There is a relief because we have gone through a bad period. The mentality of the team is healthy.”
Arsenal and now in fifth – above Manchester United – and Wenger reserved special praise for Mesut Ozil, who scored once and assisted Theo Walcott’s strike.
“Ozil is back physically and is focused. He felt hit hard by us going out in the Champions League.”
