Jurgen Klopp sounds excited at the promise of 17-year-old Ben Woodburn after he signed a new Liverpool contract.
Woodburn has scored four goals this season for Liverpool’s Under-23 side and recorded three assists in one game against Tottenham in September.
Also signing new contracts are Trent Alexander-Arnold, who played in the League Cup win over Tottenham, and Kevin Stewart, who has been on the fringes of the first team all season.
Klopp told the club’s official website: “This is really positive news of course, and it’s brilliant we have acted decisively to show our intent __with our young players.
“With Kev it is maybe a little different. He is of course established __with us now and making a contribution as an important member of our first-team squad.
“Trent spends most of his time with the first team in this moment and is progressing each and every day.
“Ben is in those earlier stages and has a lot of developing to do still – but wow, what an exciting talent he is.”
