Arsenal forward Joel Campbell is to join Villarreal on loan for the rest of the season, subject to a successful medical.
Joel Campbell: Yet to start a Premier League game
The Spanish club, whose centre-half Gabriel is on the verge of joining Arsenal permanently, announced the agreement on Tuesday.
Campbell said on his website, sports.bycampbell.com: "I hope to work hard to do things in the best way.
"I want to spend these four months well and succeed here. I am very happy."
Campbell previously had a spell in La Liga with Real Betis, and Villarreal will be the fourth club he has joined on loan since moving to London in the summer of 2011.
The Costa Rica international made his first senior Arsenal appearance in August but is yet to start a Premier League game, and with Theo Walcott and Mesut Ozil back from injury Arsene Wenger has sanctioned his departure.
Villarreal's statement made no mention of Gabriel, but the Brazilian defender is expected to complete his transfer to Arsenal this week.
The 24-year-old has already been given a work permit, and Sky sources understand he will cost Arsenal 18m euros.
